The Greek government has taken a step further to improve the time period to issue the Golden Visa, a measure that can help the market during covid times.
Now it is possible to submit an application for a residence permit through the purchase of a real estate without entry into Greece (without proof of entry visa) of the non-EU National.In essence the Investor can authorize the Greek Lawyer to purchase and file the residence permit (‘golden visa’) application. The authorization to the Greek Lawyer can be given by the Investor by signing the ‘poa’ (power of attorney). The poa can be arranged by the Greek Lawyer; and it (‘poa’) is sent by the Greek Lawyer to a Greek Embassy where the Investor can visit and sign it, and then post it to the Greek Lawyer.
Then the blue certificate is issued with which the Applicant/investor must visit Greece within 12 months and give his/her biometrics.
